I hope your are heterosexual because the best days of my life were at the University of Illinois in a coed dorm at 20 years of age.

Yes - I waited until I could afford to maintain my hobby crazy lifestyle I had working to retire and my younger wife still works too. Some of my buddies are rather broke in retirement and it's not much fun. :winkn:

I beat all you old farts into retirement, I did my 35 years in the medical field , And retired at 55 and sitting here at 60.
I retired riding a bicycle 90 miles a week, Power lifting at a local gym six hours a week, My health took a major hit called adult on set asthma.
That crap even screwed up my shooting.
I am now tied to a Cpap machine and 02 at night , I also have a drug store in my bath room,
Just bought me a big Dodge diesel looking for a toy hailer ,
I do not do RV parks, KOA, and camp grounds. Never have never will!!!!!!!!
Its got to be in the middle of nowhere for me to camp. Looks like I am going to need a big generator

Cool. We have been perusing big toy haulers but it will be a year or so before I upgrade the truck again we just got in 2016. Right now we have a 2016 37' Coachman TT w/ 3 slides that weighs a slim 9000 lbs. It pulls like a dream with a WDH.

Be sure to get a F350/3500 class duelly for the payload. Toy haulers can have very heavy pin weights. The rigs can gross 30k lbs. for RV, truck, etc.. If you only want to carry one large bike they have some dandies that raise the rear master bedroom and store only one big bike but very well. My wife prefers that to a standard 5er toy hauler since the rear area doesn't look like a garage so much. I think it is 44 feet and about 15k lbs. empty 19k lbs. gross. The truck is 11k lbs..

Some of these old folks driving these 15 ton rigs around is a bit scary. Have you seen a few of the mishaps? :suprisedn:

Yes - the one we looked at had an Onan generator so you could be off of the grid. Nothing will run the ACs though when it gets really hot. Our TT and all of the Toy Haulers we looked at are 50 AMP at this point with dual ACs. A lot of them are solar ready or even come with the solar panels installed. I would definitely pursue solar these days if you plan on being off of the grid much.

I put just under 4000 miles on the new V-Strom 1000 over the winter (well since Nov 1) so far with the mild weather. :winkn:

Very nice. I didn't quite retire that early but I worked from home full time the last 15 years in IT. It was definitely "good duty" the last decade or so with plenty of hobby time and flex time. :winkn:

Dang Wingman, congrats and most likely all from hard work. My goal is by 45, young enough where I can still travel and have fun. Even at 39 with years dedicated to sports, old injuries are starting to re-surface and make waking up painful. When is the time machine suppose to come out? April 1st along with the .25 Mutant if I recall iride correctly right? :)

Little advice, Better to retire now with your health.
When you health takes a hit, Money does not matter,
I was always told to retire now while you can, Do not wait until its to late,
I had big plans, six months before my around the world motorcycle tour , My health took a dive.
10 years in the planning and three years in to building the bike.
WTF, oh well I get to keep the wife now.

Cool to retire with your health intact no matter what age, moneys not everything ……….
Good health is happiness and that priceless if u ask me.

With zero debt I retired at 55 last May with no health issues what so ever, so far knock on wood.
That boss hates me for collecting pension, because he's working for me now .....

Money’s no problem from I’m retired from 2 primary out of 4 occupations and the wife still is too young to retire yet.
She's 7 years younger than I am but I told her she can also retire to if she desires, but she just loves her job as a Surgical Oncologist.
